OSB with all of it's durable layers, and complexities, I find it as a special choice of material which stretches me as an artist.
I view this work not as portraits- It's a meditation on beauty stripped to it's essential elements. I'm challenged to cature the essence.
As a high school senior Nathaniel Stepney was awarded a Congressional Merit Award for one of his paintings. Most recently he was Awarded Best Emerging Artist at the 2025 4Bridges Art Festival.
